Let’s talk about the Guinness World Record holder in 2012 for the highest paid actor with $75 million: Johnny Depp. Depp was born in Owensboro, Kentucky in 1963 to Betty Sue Palmer, a waitress, and John Christopher Depp.He and his family moved frequently during his childhood, living in more than 20 different places before settling in Miramar, Florida.
- Johnny Depp is an award-nominated actor known for his portrayal of unique characters including Edward Scissorhands, Pirates of the Caribbean and The Rum Diary.

- His father is John Christopher Depp, a civil engineer and his mother is Betty Sue Palmer (née Wells), a waitress. Johnny is the youngest of 4 children.

- Johnny Depp is already famous for being a guitar player but did you know that he also plays the drums? He has played with various famous bands on stage and for their albums too including Alice Cooper, Marilyn Manson, etc. He also had his own band named “P” which included other well-known names like the Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea and Sex Pistols guitarist Steve Jones.
- Starting out with the guitar his mother gifted him at age 12, he joined various garage bands and his love of music led him to leave high school and when he attempted to go back, the principal told him to pursue his dream of being a musician.
- His then wife Lori Anne Allison introduced him to Nicolas Cage, the man who advised him to try acting.He always thanks him for this. This led him to take on various roles which shot him to fame, like the undercover cop Tommy Hanson in the popular TV series 21 Jump Street.
- Despite several critically acclaimed roles, the actor has never won an Oscar.
- He has twice been named the "Sexiest Man Alive" by People magazine in 2003 and 2009.
- Depp is currently engaged to actress Amber Heard after proposing on Christmas Eve 2013. The couple met on the set of "The Rum Diary" (2012).
